Enclosure Design Services
Start to finish we will take your electrical design requirements and incorporate them into ergonomic, aesthetic enclosures to protect circuitry and give the final user a robust, user friendly product.

TLoss TLoss™ 2007 Acoustical Transmission Loss Software
Transmission Loss (TL) is a number which rates the ability of a material to block sound. TL is expressed in decibels and is typically measured in 1/3 octave band intervals. Mathmatically, it is defined as the ratio of sound energy transmitted through a material to the sound energy incident on the material.
TL is measured by mounting a sample of the material or a muffler in an impedance tube. Broadband noise is played in one end of the tube. The difference between the sound levels at either end of the tube is defined as the Noise Reduction (NR). As the frequency and/or density increases, the TL also increases. The density of the material is directly related to the TL.
TLoss™ calculates TL for material samples as well as fully assembled muffler equipment in five short steps:
1. Calculates valid frequency ranges for impedence tube parameters and air properties of the environment.
2. Configures microphone, cable and hardware.
3. Calculates phase mismatches between cross spectrums of the microphones.
4. Measures the material or muffler.
5. Calculates transmission loss.
